Frequently Asked Questions

This is the tough part when getting new pups in the mail.  Inspect the shipping box prior to opening for any signs of damage.  Carefully open the shipping box and remove all contents.  Unwrap/open additional protective wrap/containers and inspect the plants for any potential damages.  These are living things and may have lost limbs, leaves, and color in transit.  If shipped with soil that may have also spilled out.  If you have concerns with how your new plant friend is doing this is the time to reach out to us at sunrise@cactuspups.com

It is best to leave the plants inside your residence for a day and gradually acclimate them to their new home.  The are accustomed to southern Arizona and may take some time to adjust to their new forever home.

Orders will be processed and generally ship 2 to 7 days after receipt of order and payment,  

we ship Monday through Thursday with the exception of holidays using UPS and the USPS with plants ONLY shipping on Monday or Tuesday, unless otherwise arranged.

While succulents and cactus tend to be very independent plants that survive in varied environments and climates, they need to acclimate to their new surroundings.  There are many helpful websites and videos on the care of succulents and cactus.  We recommend not watering your plant for 24 hours after repotting, to use a soil that allows for the water to flow through, and to be attentive to your new plant, but avoid loving them to death.

Each plant like each person is different and may react to sun, water, and the temperature different than expected.  If your plant is appearing to have issues, do more research and try something different.  In most cases it is too much of one thing or another.

Wear gloves when handling any new plant and wash your hands after playing in the dirt.

Some succulents and soils have been know to cause allergic reactions or be harmful to pets and people, please consult a veterinarian or doctor if you have any concerns.

Requests for cancellations or changes to orders can be made prior to your order being fulfilled.  Generally up until you receive the tracking notification and/or 24 hours prior to the order being packed and shipped.   If any damages are suspected or concerns with the health or quality of the plant or item, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery at sunrise@cactuspups.com.
